Wow 2010. Its hard to even believe that we have come to this year. Even saying it sound like I'm in some futristic science fiction story. But here we are a new year. The past year was one of many adventures. A quick trip to Germany, to visit family, running several race, most significant of which was the Twin Cities Marathon, the younger brother got married, continuing to work at the research farm, hunting, hockey and the list could go on and on.

The trip to Germany was a great time to relax and visit Russ, Kirsten and Charlene. Highlights include reconnecting with a local farmer, participate in a race, and walks with Russ, Kirsten and Charlene. The time with the farmer was a great time. Some many not think that it could be since all that I did was sit along side of the farmer in the tractor as he planted corn.

There were two races that were being held in Germany that is was hoping to run while I was there. The first one was a 5k it was actually in Switzerland. It was on the second day after I landed. Unfortunately I did not get over my jetlag and nervousness from travel to be well enough to compete in this run. I was about to participate in the second race. This race was held in Munstertal Germany about fourty five minute northeast of were my brother lives. The day was great for running. Cloudly and cool, at the start there was a little drizzle. The distance was 11.7km kind of odd. I was very happy with my time 52min 52 sec.
